Situated between the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains and unspoiled beaches of the Indian ocean, in the heart of the Garden Route, lies the 3500 ha Botlierskop Private Game Reserve in the Western Cape ensuring its visitors of a unique South African Safari experience. Our Safari Park is only a 4.5-hour scenic drive from Cape Town, the Mother City of South Africa, between Mossel Bay and George. This malaria free, family owned and privately operated garden route game lodge is home to an abundance of animals including 4 of the Big 5, lions, elephants, buffalo’s, giraffes, rhino’s, hippos, rare black impalas and more as well as a unique bird life.
Botlierskop Private Game Reserves’ Tented Accommodation is situated close to the Moordkuil River in the Garden Route. 
Each tented suite has been carefully incorporated into the surrounding Western Cape bushveld while a canopy of African trees provide vital shade. The 21 suites are equipped with a mini bar, telephone, safe, coffee & tea making facilities, electrical blanket, heater/air-con, guest amenities, bath robe, slippers and have their own private deck. Raised wooden walkways connect each of the tents to the main Lodge with its spacious lounge and open plan Fireplace Restaurant that leads onto an outside open wooden deck. Please note children ages 6 and older are welcome.
The Manor House is within walking distance from the Main Lodge and situated between the Luxury Tented Suites. It offers 7 en-suite rooms, some with showers; and some with baths and showers. The Manor House has it’s own pool and Guests can make use of the Lodge Facilities, including the Fireplace Restaurant. Children 6 and older welcome.
Botlierskop Tented Lodge
Luxury/Deluxe Tented Suites
Botlierskop’s luxury air-conditioned tented suites are built on private wooden decks with breath-taking views of the river from a distance and mountainous surroundings. The Luxury Tented Lodge suites are all elegantly decorated in a colonial style with 4-poster beds and mosquito nets, fully equipped with mini bar, coffee & tea facilities, electricle blanket, telephone and a safe. The en-suite bathroom is lavishly equipped with a deep oval bath and outdoor shower.
Executive & Family Suites
Each spacious air-conditioned executive tented suite has a separate lounge & is elegantly decorated in a colonial style with 4-poster beds & mosquito nets. The Luxury Tented Lodge suites are fully equipped with a mini bar, coffee & tea facilities, telephone & a safe. En-suite bathrooms have a deep oval bath & outdoor shower. Executive Tented Suite has it’s own splash pool. Family Suites are similar but have no pool & have 3 sleeper couches ideal for children between the ages of 6-12.
The Manor House
The newly renovated air-conditioned Manor House Suites on the reserve are located in the original old farm house, dating back to the mid 1800’s, with views of the plains of Botlierskop and is located close to the Botlierskop Tented lodge. At the Manor House we do not accept children under the age of 6.
Luxury Manor House
Luxury Manor House Rooms are elegantly decorated in a contemporary country-style with mosquito nets and a small separate lounge area. It is fully equipped with mini bar, coffee and tea making facilities, telephone, TV, DSTV with selected Movie Magic & sport channels, DVD player, safe, electrical blanket, heater/air-con, guest amenities, bath robes, slippers and en-suite bathroom with shower only. The patio overlooks the plains of Botlierskop with a chance of viewing Western Cape Safari wildlife.
Stable Manor House
The Stable Manor House Rooms are located at the back of the Manor house close to the horse stables with partial views of the Western Cape Safari plains, elegantly decorated in a contemporary country-style with mosquito nets and a small lounge area. It is fully equipped with mini bar, coffee & tea making facilities, telephone, safe, electrical blanket, heater/air-con, guest amenities, bath robes, slippers and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Each room has it’s own outdoor patio where guests can relax.
Family/Executive
The bedrooms are elegantly decorated in a contemporary country-style with mosquito nets and a separate lounge area with sleeper couches for kids. It is fully equipped with mini bar, coffee & tea facilities, microwave, telephone, TV, DSTV with selected Movie Magic & sport channels, DVD player, safe, electrical blanket, heater/air-con, guest amenities, bath robes, slippers and en-suite bathroom with shower only. The patio overlooks the Western Cape Safari plains of Botlierskop with a chance of viewing game.
The Fire Place Restaurant
The Fire Place Restaurant is situated on a hilly outcrop with uninterrupted views of the bush and river. It has a spacious lounge and open plan dining room that lead out onto a wooden deck. At dinner guests can indulge in fire cooked meals and to round off the evening, they can experience the rhythms of African men and their jembe drums.
Swimming Pool
The heated rim-flow pool at the main lodge, with it’s breath-taking views of the valley below, is balm for the soul. The large open-air deck seamlessly integrates the Fauna & Flora. The Manor House non-heated swimming pool overlook the plains and animal sightings are common.
Tennis Court
If you have any cropped up energy or just want to relax, please feel free to make use of our tennis court situated at the foot of the Botlierskop hilltop. The tennis court can be used during the day or evening as it is equipped with lights. Tennis equipment can be hired from Botlierskop.
Botlierskop Bush Spa
At Botlierskop Game Reserve, where heaven meets earth at the end of each day, relax and enjoy being pampered in our new Spa. The Spa situated on the riverbank surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery consists of two treatment rooms named Fauna and Flora.
