Michamvi Sunset Bay is located on the South East Coast of Zanzibar, on the east side of Chwaka Bay facing west on the majestic Michamvi Peninsula. Due to its unique positioning,Michamvi Sunset Bay offers the most gorgeous sunsets in Zanzibar. The beach surrounding Michamvi has low tidal movement, powder-white sand and tall palm trees. Due to the intimate size of only 20 luxurious rooms, Michamvi Sunset Bay has a relaxed atmosphere, where one can perfectly unwind.

SPACIOUS ROOMS
The rooms are divided into ten on the first floor and ten on the ground fl oor. From the ground floor terrace you have easy access to the beach and the swimming pool, while the upstairs rooms have an elevated view from the balcony.
The King size beds are dressed with breathable cotton sheets to ensure the ultimate night’s sleep. Due to the spacious rooms, bed confi gurations can be arranged with twin,triple or quadruple beds. The aesthetics of the rooms concentrate on total relaxation.

The bathrooms are designed in ivory and cream. Sixteen of the rooms have a walk-in double shower and two basins. Four have a bathtub, a single shower and one basin.

Michamvi is committed to uplifting Zanzibar and the local Michamvi village, the resort currently has projects in partnership with the people of Michamvi.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Michamvi Sunset Bay involves the village in activities offered to the guests. The locals act as guides for the village tour and sunset cruises as well as provide boats for excursions. Suppliers and external contractors are sourced from Michamvi as much as possible.
RECYCLING
The hotel is committed to ensuring a sustainable tourism industry on Zanzibar and has a fully recyclining programme for all the garbage generated at the resort.Michamvi Sunset Bay has partnered with Zanrec a local NGO to manage this project.
SCHOOL RENOVATION PROJECT
Michamvi Sunset Bay contributes to the local school fund for the improvement of Michamvi School.
LOCAL ART PROJECT
Local Artists have been sourced, their art is displayed in the hotel. Michamvi Sunset Bay has taken it a step further and offer these works of arts to our guests, ALL proceeds made are channelled back to the artists.
