Samburu Sopa Lodge is a warm and welcoming safari retreat perched on the hills of the Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya. Designed with round, traditional Samburu-style architecture and thatched roofs, the lodge blends beautifully into its rocky surroundings, offering expansive views of the dry plains, acacia woodlands, and the distant Ol Olokwe Mountain. Located inside the reserve, the lodge provides immediate access to the rugged and remote landscape that is home to the “Samburu Special Five” — unique species found only in this part of Kenya.

Perfect for families, couples, and wildlife enthusiasts, the lodge is both adventurous and comfortable, with spacious rooms, shaded verandas, and a large swimming pool to cool off under the African sun. The tranquil environment is matched by genuine Samburu hospitality and cultural charm. After game drives, guests can enjoy sundowners by the cliffside, watch elephants gather at the nearby river, or unwind with a stargazing session from the lodge’s elevated decks. Samburu Sopa Lodge is a celebration of unspoiled wilderness and local heritage.
