Sarova Shaba Game Lodge
Serenity and Safari Spirit Along the Ewaso NyiroSamburu National Park, Kenya
Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is a tranquil oasis located in the heart of the Shaba National Reserve in northern Kenya. Built along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, the lodge is surrounded by volcanic rock formations, palm groves, and lush forest — a rare contrast to the arid landscape of the Samburu ecosystem. The lodge pays homage to the vibrant culture of the Samburu people and offers a peaceful yet adventurous stay, ideal for travelers seeking authentic wildlife experiences in a serene, less-traveled region of Kenya.
With its thatched-roof cottages, meandering rock-lined pools, and friendly hospitality, the lodge offers comfort and style while preserving a connection to nature. Guests can enjoy game drives in the reserve to spot the “Samburu Special Five” — Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx — and return to the lodge for refreshing dips in the pool or bush-inspired meals by the river. Sarova Shaba Game Lodge strikes a harmonious balance between safari adventure, cultural immersion, and laid-back luxury.
